Ganesh Chaturthi 2023 : Meaning 

Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the biggest Hindu festivals. This festival starts from Shukla Pakshan Chaturthi Tith and continues till Ananta Chaturdash. This festival is also known as Ganeshotsavi and is celebrated all over the country with great pomp and pageantry. Lord Ganesha is considered  the god of wisdom, prosperity and luck. Ganesh Chaturthi festival is mostly celebrated in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Goa and Telangana. 

One should avoid seeing the Moon on Chaturthi Tithi day  as it is considered inauspicious. It is believed that seeing the Moon on a Chaturthi Tithi day  can suffer from Mithya Dosha or a curse.
