After IPL 2025, the Indian cricket team will travel to England for a five-match Test series. There were rumors that Rohit Sharma might lose his Test captaincy, but a recent update has confirmed that he will lead India against England.
Rohit Sharma Will Remain Captain
According to news agency PTI, despite India’s Test series losses against New Zealand and Australia, Rohit Sharma will continue as Test captain for the England tour. The BCCI is expected to announce the final squad for the series during the last weeks of IPL 2025.
A BCCI source told PTI, “There is still time for the squad announcement. A clear picture will emerge before or just after the IPL knockout matches.”
The England tour will begin on June 20, 2025, with the first Test match in Leeds.
