Asian Games cricket schedule : The Indian men’s and women’s cricket teams are eyeing a gold medal at the 19th Asian Games.  

Cricket at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2023 will be played in the T20 format from September 19 to October 8. Team India’s men’s and women’s teams will participate in the upcoming  Asian Games.  

The Indian women’s cricket team left for Hangzhou on Sunday. The team was given an enthusiastic send-off by the Sports Authority of India in Bengaluru. “Girls of Cricket are ready to rock the #AsianGames2022. The team received an enthusiastic announcement from @SAI_Bengaluru at an exclusive ceremony tonight. Can’t wait to see them all  make India proud! Go GIRLS! We’re here. #Cheer4India,”  Sports Authority of India said  on its X (formerly Twitter) in the handle.  

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday gave squad updates for the men’s and women’s teams. 

BCCI said in a statement that  Akash Deep has been named as Shivam Mavi’s replacement  in the Indian team by the men’s selection committee. Mavi is suffering from a back injury and has been ruled out of the Asian Games 2023 .

Asian Games cricket schedule :Team India Cricket Schedule 

India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will  start their campaign directly from the quarter-finals, while the rest of the teams will play from the group stage. Four teams  qualify from the group stage and face the big teams in the quarter finals. 

The men’s cricket at Asian Games 2023 will be played from September 28 to October  8 in the T20 format. Team India will begin their campaign on October 3, with the opposition yet to be decided. According to Wisden, the match will start at 9:30  local time. 

Meanwhile, the women’s selection committee named Pooja Vastrakar, who was earlier in the reserve list, in place of  Anjali Sarvan. 

Left-arm pacer Sarvani suffered a knee injury and was ruled out of the competition.

Asian Games cricket schedule :Indian Women’s team Cricket Schedule 

The women’s cricket competition will be held from September 19 to October 8 at the Zhejiang University of Technology Pingfeng Cricket Ground in the T20 format.  

As mentioned above, the women’s team qualified directly  for the quarter finals. The Indian team will start their campaign on September 21. The opponent is still to be decided  but the match will start at 11.30 IST according to the official broadcaster.
