Currently, Pakistan and Bangladesh are playing the second Test match of their series in Rawalpindi. Pakistan is on the verge of losing this match. Babar Azam has had a poor performance in both matches of the series so far, leading to rumors about his retirement. So, has Babar Azam really retired due to his poor performance against Bangladesh? Let’s find out the truth.

On Monday (September 2), a social media post claimed that Babar Azam had retired from Test cricket. The post read, “After much thought, I have decided to retire from Test cricket. This decision comes after struggling to find my form for two years.”

However, this is not the only post making such claims. There have been several posts alleging that Babar Azam has retired from Test cricket. But these social media posts and claims are completely false. Babar Azam has not announced any retirement from Test cricket.

Babar’s Current Struggles

It is important to note that Babar Azam has been struggling with poor form for a while now. He is currently going through one of the worst phases of his career. In his last 10 Test innings, he has scored only 190 runs at an average of 19. His form has also been declining in T20 and ODI formats. In the first Test against Bangladesh, Babar scored 0 and 22 runs, and in the second Test, he scored 31 and 11 runs.
