Before the assembly elections in Maharashtra, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which includes the Congress party, is preparing for the upcoming challenges. On Monday (October 14), Congress leaders held a meeting with the party’s top leadership in Delhi. The impact of their recent defeat in Haryana was also discussed. Sources say that Congress leadership has advised Maharashtra leaders to avoid overconfidence.

During the three-hour discussion, they talked about the political situation in Maharashtra, seat sharing, and the election manifesto. After the meeting, Ramesh Chenniyathala, who is in charge, stated that the decision regarding the Chief Minister will be made after the elections. They plan to finalize the seat-sharing agreement in the coming days.

What is Sharad Pawar’s Group’s Stance?

In the MVA, the Congress is joined by Sharad Pawar’s NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) and Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT). The Shiv Sena (UBT) has been claiming its right to the Chief Minister’s position. However, both Congress and Sharad Pawar’s group say that the decision will be taken after the elections.

Message from Sanjay Raut

During the Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park on Saturday (October 12), Sanjay Raut, a leader from Uddhav Thackeray’s faction and a Rajya Sabha MP, said that Uddhav Thackeray should take the oath of office as Chief Minister in the same ground. He emphasized that a small spark is enough to light a torch, and one torch is enough to create a flame.

What Did Uddhav Thackeray Say?

When asked about the Chief Minister position, former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray responded on Sunday (October 13) by saying, “Let the Maha Yuti first announce their Chief Minister face, then we will tell you who our Chief Minister face is. Since we are in the government, the Maha Yuti should declare their Chief Minister face first.”
