JioCinema, a growing OTT platform in India, has faced a major issue recently. Users have reported that the app is logging them out automatically from their devices, mainly on TVs and PCs. This problem has raised concerns, especially with the upcoming merger of JioCinema.

What’s the Issue?
Users are complaining that JioCinema is logging them out from their devices, causing significant inconvenience. Some users have reported being logged out 3-4 times a day, and every time they log back in, they are logged out again. This issue seems to be related to a software glitch.

Comparison with Disney Hotstar
Users have noted that such issues did not occur on Disney Hotstar. With JioCinema’s upcoming merger with Disney Hotstar, it will be interesting to see if this merger benefits the platform or not.

Users’ Complaints on X
Many users have shared their complaints on X (formerly Twitter), saying they are unable to watch content on JioCinema due to the frequent log-outs.

Why Users Are Still Sticking with JioCinema
Despite these problems, some users are still using JioCinema. The main reason is its pricing. JioCinema offers content for free and charges much less than other platforms.

Company’s Response
On August 24, 2024, Jio denied any issues with the app. The company stated that there are no current problems affecting users’ ability to watch JioCinema. They suggested that some users might be facing issues due to problems with their devices. JioCinema is reportedly working fine according to the company.
