What Happened?
According to reports, the flight took off at 8:41 AM, but soon after, the engine started shaking due to the bird hit. The pilot informed air traffic control and landed the flight safely at 9:03 AM on Runway 7.
Patna Airport’s Statement
Patna Airport released a statement saying:
“Flight IGO5009 from Patna to Delhi reported a bird hit just after take-off at 8:42 AM. Bird remains were found on the runway during inspection. The pilot noticed engine vibrations and safely returned the flight to Patna.”
What Next?
A technical check of the aircraft is underway. Meanwhile, alternative arrangements are being made to send passengers to Delhi.
