Delhi Police Seizes Arsenal: Illegal Factory in Meerut Busted, Two Arrested

The Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has uncovered a major illegal arms factory. The police have arrested the factory operator and a supplier involved in the operation. Ikram is identified as the illegal arms supplier, while Masoom Ali is the factory operator.

Both suspects are residents of Meerut. The police conducted a raid and recovered 16 country-made pistols, 41 barrels, and eight tools used for making weapons. Devesh Chandra Srivastava, Special CP of the Crime Branch, stated that the operation was successful.

The police received information that an individual from Meerut was supplying illegal arms in Delhi. They set up a trap and apprehended the arms supplier. During the investigation, two country-made pistols were found with the supplier. The police arrested him under the Arms Act. After questioning the supplier, they discovered the illegal arms factory located in a deserted flat in Kashiram Colony, Meerut. Based on the supplier’s information, the police raided the flat and seized 14 country-made pistols, 41 barrels, and eight tools used for making illegal weapons.

Illegal Arms Factory Uncovered, Two Arrested

The accused revealed that he had manufactured over 80 country-made pistols so far. During the investigation, the police learned that the accused also runs a mobile shop. He has been involved in various cases, including the Arms Act, fraud, and the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019.

The police have arrested the accused and initiated further legal action. The operation was carried out by a team formed under Additional CP Crime Sanjay Bhatia, DCP Rakesh Pawaria, ACP Pankaj Arora, Inspector Gaurav Chaudhary, SI Yashpal Singh, SI Rishi Kumar, ASI Munawwar Khan, ASI Arunpal, Head Constable Ankur, and Constable Sohanveer.
