Delhi Power Cut News: Delhi’s acting Chief Minister and AAP leader Atishi has accused the BJP government of causing frequent power cuts in the national capital. She claimed that ever since BJP came to power, there have been continuous electricity cuts in different parts of the city.

On social media platform X, Atishi wrote:
“BJP has become a disaster for Delhi. As soon as they came to power, long power cuts started.”

Power Cuts in Different Areas

Atishi stated that for the last three days, people from various parts of Delhi have complained about long power cuts. She emphasized that earlier, under the AAP government, the power sector was monitored every hour, and such issues never occurred.

She listed some affected areas:

  • February 9: Sainik Enclave, Mohan Garden – 4 hours without electricity
  • Sunlight Colony, Ashram – No power all night
  • Radhepur – 2-hour power cut
  • Vikaspuri – 4-hour power outage

Atishi Blames BJP for the Power Crisis

She further said:
“People are being forced to buy inverters. Many are realizing that voting for BJP was a mistake. It’s only February, and the demand for electricity is low. Imagine what will happen in May-June when the peak demand crosses 8,500 megawatts. BJP does not know how to run a government. It is unfortunate that they want to turn Delhi into UP, where power cuts last for hours.”

Why Isn’t Atishi Taking Action?

When asked why she is not resolving the issue as acting CM, she explained that on February 8, after the election results, BJP locked the ministers’ offices and stopped them from reviewing any official files.

BJP’s Victory in Delhi Elections

In the recent Delhi Assembly elections, AAP suffered a major defeat. Out of 70 seats, AAP won only 22 seats, while BJP secured 48 seats. Now, the formation of the new government is awaited.
