In Hassan district of Karnataka, 22 people have died due to heart attacks in just 40 days. This unusual situation has surprised the health department and the state government. The government has now ordered a detailed investigation.

🧑‍⚕️ Who are the people dying?

According to health officials, many of the people who died were young or middle-aged and had no history of heart disease. This has raised serious public health concerns.

  • On June 30, 4 more people died of heart attacks.
  • In total, 22 people have died in 40 days.
  • Out of them:
    • 5 people were 19–25 years old.
    • 8 people were 25–45 years old.
    • Only a few were above 60.

This rising number of heart attacks among young people is worrying for both doctors and the general public.

🗣️ What did the Chief Minister say?

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said these deaths are very serious and cannot be considered normal. He has ordered a scientific and fair investigation into the matter.

A special team of experts led by Dr. Ravindranath, director of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, has been sent to Hassan to study the situation. The team has been asked to submit a report in 10 days.

🔬 What is the team investigating?

This same committee was earlier asked to study:

  • Why young people are dying suddenly in the state
  • Whether COVID-19 vaccines might have any side effects

The CM also said that it cannot be denied that the fast approval and use of COVID-19 vaccines may be a reason behind these heart attacks. He mentioned that some international studies have shown a possible link between vaccines and rising heart issues.

📌 Summary:

  • 22 heart attack deaths in 40 days in Karnataka’s Hassan district
  • Most of the victims are young or middle-aged
  • The CM has ordered a deep investigation
  • A team of experts will study the cause and check if vaccines may be linked

This incident has raised serious health concerns and the state is taking urgent steps to find the cause.
