The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has launched a new opportunity for young people who have completed their BA or MA from recognized institutions or universities in tourism. The Chief Minister’s Tourism Fellowship Program will give selected researchers ₹40,000 per month to explore tourist places. The aim is to boost tourism and create job opportunities for the youth.
Tourism Minister Jayveer Singh stated that there are limitless possibilities in the tourism sector. The CM Tourism Fellowship Program has been introduced to provide employment in tourism and to speed up the tourism department’s plans. Applications for this fellowship are now open. The maximum age limit for applicants is 40 years. The deadline to apply is August 31.
How to Apply for the Fellowship
To apply, candidates must have a degree or diploma related to tourism or archaeology. Eligible degrees include BA, MA, MPhil, PhD, Tourism and Travel Management, MBA in Hospitality, or a PG Diploma in Tourism and Travel from any recognized institution. Applicants must have at least 60% marks.
Interested candidates can apply on the official UP Tourism website: uptourism.gov.in. Selected fellows will work on a one-year contract, which can be extended if needed. They will work under the supervision of District Magistrates, Divisional Commissioners, and tourism department officials. Their responsibilities will include addressing complaints from tourists and pilgrims and handling other departmental tasks.
The government believes this fellowship will benefit tourists and help resolve issues faced by travelers at various locations.
