The debate over making India a Hindu nation has intensified in Bihar politics. BJP MLA Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul made a bold statement on March 11, 2025, in an interview with ABP News.
What Did BJP Leader Bachaul Say?
🗣️ Bachaul said:
“Bihar is a Hindu state. India is a Hindu nation and will officially become one. In 1947, India was divided on the basis of Hindu-Muslim identity. Muslims got Pakistan, and Hindus got Hindustan.”
He also stated that if Baba Bageshwar (Dhirendra Krishna Shastri) holds a religious march in Bihar, BJP will support him. He further added:
🗣️ “A law will be introduced in Parliament to make India a Hindu nation. Prashant Kishor and Rabri Devi should wait. What is in their minds will happen soon.”
RJD’s Strong Response
BJP’s statement sparked a reaction from RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal). RJD leader Ranvijay Sahu accused BJP of trying to divide Bihar and create riots.
🗣️ Sahu said:
“These people want to create riots. We will not allow such a march. The real issue is jobs, but BJP only talks about Hindu-Muslim and Pakistan.”
Baba Bageshwar’s Campaign for a Hindu Nation
🔹 Baba Bageshwar (Dhirendra Krishna Shastri) recently completed his five-day visit to Bihar on March 10, 2025. He came to Gopalganj for a religious event.
🔹 Before leaving, he announced a “Hindu Nation March.” He said:
🗣️ “We have started a march from Madhya Pradesh for a Hindu nation. The next stop is Uttar Pradesh, then Bihar. We will unite Hindus for this cause.”
Rabri Devi’s Challenge to BJP
Former Bihar CM Rabri Devi responded strongly to these statements. She challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying:
🗣️ “If the PM has the courage, he should remove all Muslims from Bihar and the entire country.”
This political controversy has led to heated debates, with BJP pushing for a Hindu nation and RJD strongly opposing it. The issue is expected to remain a major topic in Bihar’s politics in the coming days.
