The Sabarmati Express train, traveling from Varanasi to Ahmedabad, derailed with 22 of its coaches coming off the tracks. This accident happened near Govindpuri Station between Kanpur and Bhimsen sections in Uttar Pradesh.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in the accident. Buses have been arranged to transport passengers from Kanpur. The derailed train included seven AC coaches, eight sleeper coaches, and several general coaches.
Among the passengers, 314 were from Gujarat. Of these, 213 were from Vadodara, 52 from Anand, and 26 from Godhra. There were also 17 passengers from Nadiad and six from Mehmedabad.
