Shah Rukh Khan Dunki : Shah Rukh Khan Dunki’s much – awaited film which he announced will hit theatres around Christmas or New Year, may be delayed. The reason for this delay is to avoid a box office clash with Prabhas’ upcoming entertainer “Sasaar – Part 1: The Armistice”, which is also slated for a December release. Read the article given below to know more about the release date of Shah Rukh Khan Dunki.
Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan recently shared his views on the matter and speculated that ‘Dunk’ may be rescheduled to avoid a simultaneous release with ‘Salaar’. The move would give Prabhas a solo release of the film which could break box office records. Still supporting the idea that “Dunk” will be pushed back, reports suggest that post-production delays may force the film’s team to re-evaluate its December 22 release date. However, an official confirmation is awaited from the Dunk product team.
Salaar was earlier supposed to be released on September 28, but it was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. The new release date is December 22, so Prabhas fans are eagerly waiting for the theatrical debut of the film.
Salaar directed by Prashant Neel fame stars Shruti Haasan and Prithviraj Sukumara in lead roles. The exciting plot and action-packed episodes of the film created considerable confusion among the moviegoers. On the other hand, Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunk is SRK’s most awaited film after the success of Jawan. Billed as an immigration drama, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. Earlier reports indicated that SRK and Rajkumar Hirani wanted to delay Dunk as there was no point in releasing the third Shah Rukh Khan film in the same year. But at an event for Jawan, SRK put an end to all speculations and said, “God was very kind to get Pathan. God was even kinder to Jawan and I always say that. We started on January 26, Republic Day (with Pathaan), it’s a good day. On Janmashtami, Krishnajis birthday, we released this movie (Jawan). Now that the New Year and Christmas are just around the corner, we’re releasing the Dunk. I like national integration.”
