A shocking murder took place in Seelampur, Delhi, where a 17-year-old Dalit boy was killed on Thursday evening. As protests erupted in the area, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari has given his first statement about the incident.
What Did Manoj Tiwari Say?
Manoj Tiwari called the murder a matter of serious concern. He promised strict action against the attackers and said people’s anger over the incident was natural.
He posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), saying:
“The murder of 17-year-old Dalit boy Kunal in Seelampur is very worrying. Since last night, I’ve been in touch with district and senior police officers. Most of the accused have been identified and others are being traced. Wherever they hide, they will be caught soon and punished strictly.”
Appeal for Peace
Manoj Tiwari also requested people in the area to stay calm and not obstruct the police investigation. He mentioned that he would personally visit the spot around 2:30 PM to meet the people.
What Happened in Seelampur?
The incident happened in J-Block, Seelampur, where 17-year-old Kunal, son of Rajvir, was attacked with a knife at around 7:38 PM on Thursday. He was seriously injured and taken to JPC Hospital for treatment, where he sadly passed away.
Police officials said the attackers would be arrested soon. They also appealed to local residents to maintain peace in the area.
