Speaking to reporters, Vadra said, “She is a woman, and I respect her, but I don’t think she deserves to be in Parliament. She is not educated… I think she doesn’t care about people; she only thinks about herself. She should think about women’s issues. She also alleged that there were dead bodies hanging and rapes occurring during the protests. Her statements received widespread criticism, with several Congress leaders also attacking the BJP over her remarks.

Simranjit Singh Mann, former MP of the Shiromani Akali Dal, also made a harsh comment on Kangana’s statement about the farmers’ protests. He said, “I don’t want to say this, but Kangana Ranaut seems to have a lot of experience with rape, and you can ask her to explain how it happens so people can understand.”
