Rashid Khan, the Afghan cricket star known for his impressive spin bowling, has now made history with his explosive batting. During the ongoing Shpageza Cricket League in Afghanistan, the 25-year-old all-rounder achieved a remarkable feat. He became the fastest batsman to score a half-century in the tournament.

In the 16th match of the Shpageza Cricket League, played on August 20 at Kabul International Cricket Stadium, the game was between The Spin Ghar Tigers and Emo Sharks. The Sharks won the toss and chose to bat first, scoring 166 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 17 overs.

For the Sharks, opening batsman Zubaid Akbari played a brilliant innings, scoring 82 runs off 45 balls with 3 fours and 7 sixes. When The Spin Ghar Tigers started their chase, they lost their first 5 wickets for just 20 runs.

Despite this, captain Rashid Khan did not give up. He came in to bat in the third over and faced 26 balls, hitting 3 fours and 6 sixes to score 53 runs. Rashid also formed a crucial 73-run partnership with Ikram Ali Khil.

During the match, Rashid played a variety of spectacular shots, including a “no-look” six and a “helicopter shot.” However, his efforts were not enough to secure a win for his team.

The match was affected by rain, and The Spin Ghar Tigers were given a revised target of 139 runs. However, they only managed to score 109 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 12 overs. As a result, they lost the match by 26 runs according to the DLS method. Rashid was dismissed by Mohammad Gul Alezai in the 9th over.
