Kannu Gujjar, an associate of gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, was arrested by the Jalandhar police after an encounter. During the encounter, Kannu Gujjar was seriously injured. He was wanted in several serious crimes, including murder, extortion, and racketeering. During the encounter, both sides fired a total of 9 bullets. Two weapons were recovered from the scene. Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s name was also linked to the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.

Kannu Gujjar has been admitted to the hospital with five bullet wounds and is reported to be in serious condition. The encounter took place near Hamilton Tower. Gujjar had hidden weapons in a room in a field. He fired at the police with these weapons and was injured in the police’s response.
Background on Jaggu Bhagwanpuria
Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, whose real name is Jaspreet, is from Bhagwanpur village in Gurudaspur. He changed his name to Jaggu and initially committed robbery and assault before becoming a contract killer. Jaggu has been in jail since 2015 and was sentenced to 12 years in 2020 for drug trafficking and arms-related offenses. He has been questioned in connection with the Moosewala murder case, where he mentioned Lawrence Bishnoi’s name.
