Prithvi Shaw got injured at a time when his performance in IPL 2023 was poor and he is out of Team India.

Team India’s star opener Prithvi Shaw is battling a knee injury. He got injured during the One Day Cup in county cricket. Prithvi Shaw wrote a painful message while sharing a photo of his injured leg on Instagram Story. He has written, “When you climb up in life, people are with you, and when you are down, they leave you.” Prithvi Shaw has done exceptionally well in county cricket. However, he played only a few matches due to injury. During this, he also scored a double century.

Prithvi Shaw, playing for Northamptonshire, was impressive and scored 244 against Somerset. He will take 2 months to recover from knee injury. In such a situation, he will not be able to play in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. There is also doubt on playing in Vijay Hazare Trophy. Significantly, Mumbai is the current champion of Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Shaw will be fit before Ranji Trophy

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is hopeful that he will be fit before the Ranji Trophy, which begins on January 5. The MCA official said, “After discussions with him, it is clear that he will take around two to three months to fully recover. He can be fully fit by December and play Ranji Trophy in January.

Prithvi Shaw scored 429 runs in 4 matches

The 23-year-old batsman was the English county’s top run-scorer in the 50-over tournament before he was ruled out of the tournament due to injury. He scored an impressive 429 runs in four innings, including a record-breaking 244 against Somerset. It was the second highest photo score in List A cricket in England. Apart from this, he scored 125, 26 and 34 not out in three innings. Prithvi Shaw has been injured at a time when his performance for Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2023 has been poor. After this, he was not selected for the Caribbean tour, Ireland tour and also for the Asian Games.
