The last holy bath of Prayagraj Mahakumbh will take place on February 26, which is also Mahashivratri. The administration expects millions of devotees to visit Prayagraj on this occasion. To manage the crowd, a no-vehicle zone has been implemented in the fair area and the city from February 25 onwards.

Mahakumbh’s Last Bath & Crowd Management

As Mahakumbh 2025 comes to an end, special crowd control measures have been put in place for the final holy bath on February 26. The police estimate that over 3 crore (30 million) devotees will visit the Sangam for the bath.

According to the fair police, the no-vehicle zone in the fair area will start from 4:00 AM on February 25, 2025, while Prayagraj city will be under the no-vehicle zone from 6:00 PM onwards. Authorities have urged the public to follow the rules to ensure smooth crowd management. Devotees are advised to take a bath at the nearest available ghat instead of overcrowding the main areas.

Bathing Plan for Devotees

The Mahakumbh administration has designed a special plan based on devotees arriving from different directions:

  • From South (Jhunsi side) – Devotees can bathe at Sangam Dwar Airavat Ghat.
  • From North (Jhunsi side) – Devotees can bathe at Sangam Harishchandra Ghat and Sangam Old GT Ghat.
  • From Parade side – Devotees can bathe at Sangam Dwar Bharadwaj Ghat.
  • From Sangam Dwar side – Devotees can use Nagvasuki Ghat, Mori Ghat, Kali Ghat, Ram Ghat, and Hanuman Ghat.
  • From Arail side – Devotees can bathe at Sangam Dwar Arail Ghat.

Essential Services Allowed

Essential vehicles such as ambulances, medicine supplies, milk, vegetables, and government service vehicles (doctors, police, administration) will be allowed to move freely.

On February 26, 2025, Mahakumbh will conclude with the Mahashivratri festival. Devotees are requested to bathe quickly, visit temples, and leave to prevent overcrowding.

Pontoon Bridges & Crowd Management

Authorities have stated that pontoon bridges will be opened or closed based on the crowd pressure. Devotees are encouraged to bathe at the nearest available ghats, as all ghats are equally sacred.

By following these rules, devotees can ensure a safe and smooth conclusion of Mahakumbh 2025.
