Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed this announcement, causing a stir in Jharkhand’s political scene. Sarma posted on X confirming Soren’s entry into the BJP, and Nishikant Dubey mentioned that the JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) has been significantly weakened by this move.

Previously, Champai Soren had announced plans to start a new party, hinting at potential alliances, possibly with the BJP. Despite this, speculation continued about his political future.
