Nokia G42 5G : Nokia G42 5G India Price Raised Ahead of September 11 Launch, Turned Pink  in Global Market

 Nokia G42 5G : Nokia G42 5G will be launched in India on September 11.

The G42 5G will officially arrive in India next week. While we await the official launch, licensee HMD Global announced the price of its new G-series smartphone on Thursday (September 7) via X (formerly Twitter). Additionally, Nokia has launched a new colour option for the G42 5G phone for international markets outside of India. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 SoC and has a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The G42 5G has been confirmed to be sold in the country via Amazon India. 

Nokia’s official India X handle  asked people to guess the  Nokia G42 5G price in its latest post.Two alternatives for Rs. 16.xx and Rs. 18.xx are listed in the post, indicating that the phone won’t cost Rs. 18,999 or more. The two memory configurations are likewise included in these two price ranges. 

The G42 5G is available in Europe for €199 (roughly Rs. 20,800) with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.  Separately, the G42 5G has received a new So Pink color option in international markets outside of India. The new colour option joins the grey and purple colour options that have  been available in select global markets since the phone was first launched in June. The availability of the most recent colour in India has not been confirmed by Nokia.

The G42 5G will launch in India on September 11 and  will be sold exclusively through Amazon. 

Nokia G42 5G specifications 

The Nokia G42 5G runs on Android 13 and  is confirmed to receive Android OS updates for two years  and monthly security updates for the next three years. The phone has a 6.56-inch HD (720 x 1612 pixels) LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. As mentioned, it is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 480 chipset coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.Additionally, the 5G phone provides up to 5GB of extra virtual RAM. 

It has a triple rear camera unit consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor and two 2-megapixel sensors. It also includes an 8-megapixel selfie sensor. The 5,000mAh battery in the Nokia G42 5G supports 20W wired fast charging.
