Nepal Cricket Record : Nepal became the first team to reach 300 runs in T20 internationals, with Kushal Malla scoring the fastest 100 runs in the format.

Nepal became the first men’s team in cricket history  to score more than 300 runs in a T20 international when they wrote the record books against Mongolia at the Asian Games.

Nepal scored 314  in  20 overs in Hangzhou on Wednesday, surpassing Afghanistan’s 2019 high (278 for three  in Ireland).

Batting at number three, Kushal Malla led the way and managed to break the fastest T20 international in just 34 balls.

He was followed by Dipendra Singh Airee, who ended the innings in ridiculous fashion against the hapless Mongolian bowlers. He reached his 50 off nine balls, another world record, beating India’s Yuvraj Singh’s 2007 effort against England, which took 12 balls.

Mongolia, whose women lost by just 15 at the Asian Games last week, were dismissed for just 41.

He hit 12 sixes and eight fours at a strike rate of 274 and  became the first century batsman in Men’s T20Is at the age of 19 years and 206 days.  The previous record for the fastest T20 century was held by South African David Miller, who did it in 2017 against Bangladesh in 35 balls.
