Nana Patekar : Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor are not  part of “Welcome 3”. Anees Bazmee, the director of the previous two “Welcome” films,  said that he could not imagine the film without the two actors.

 In short

• Filmmaker Anees Bazmee is not directing ‘Welcome 3’.

• Speaking to IndiaToday.in, he said he can’t imagine  ‘Welcome’  without Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor.

• The film was released on September 9 on the occasion of Akshay Kumar’s birthday.

“Welcome 3” was announced on September 9. Since then, it has become the talk of the town. The Akshay Kumar starrer will hit theatres in December 2024.

Recently, at the press conference of “Vaccine War”, Nana Patekar’s statement that he was not a part of “Welcome 3” went viral. When asked about Welcome 3, Patekar took a dig at the producers and said that he has become old now, maybe that’s why he wasn’t offered the film.  Anees Bazmee, the director of the previous two “Welcome” films, is not directing the project. He told IndiaToday.in.

I AM NOT PART OF WELCOME 3′

“Welcome” was a successful franchise. Anees Bazmee, who directed the first part and ‘Welcome 2’, is also not associated with ‘Welcome 3’. When  asked about the cast of the upcoming film, Anees told IndiaToday.in, “I myself am not a part of it. Yes, I heard what Nana Patekar ji said. Well, now I have no word on its cast. Once the decision makers have made a decision, it must be made after careful consideration.

Anees further added, “I just want to say that if I had directed that film, I couldn’t have done it  without Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor. Both  characters were iconic. Even today, some videos of him can be seen on social media. Both were important figures. I couldn’t imagine that movie without them.”

“THE RIGHTS OF THE FILM ARE WITH THE PRODUCER”

Anees Bazmee also mentioned that he is excited about the new casting. “Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi were my good friends. He also finds it interesting  to join this franchise group. It’s completely a  creative call,  it depends on them. When asked if he won’t direct the film himself, Anees said, “The rights of the film are with the producer. He is also close to me. If he  entrusted this responsibility to someone else,  I believe in his vision.”

Akshay Kumar shared the  promo and poster  of “Welcome 3” on September 9 to celebrate his birthday. Many big names are associated with this multi-starrer film. Some fans were happy with the unique casting, while others were disappointed by the absence of Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor.
