Megha’s journey began in Chennai, where she was born and raised. Her father, Shri S. Vasudevan, and her mother, Smt S. Eswaridevan, instilled in her the values of hard work and determination from a young age. She pursued her education in Chennai, and her passion for sports was evident early on.
One of Megha’s standout accomplishments is her prowess in hockey. She started playing the sport in the 8th grade and continued until the 11th grade. Her dedication and skill led her to participate in the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Nationals and represent the YMCA Nandanam Chennai. Her pursuit of excellence continued in college, where she earned her BPES and BPED degrees from the College of Physical Education. She proudly represented Madras University and Tamil Nadu State in hockey. Notably, after a hiatus of 30 years, Megha made a triumphant return to international sports, representing India at the European Master Games Hockey Tournament in 2019, where she secured a Bronze medal. The following year, she clinched Silver at the National Master Games in Vadodara.
Megha’s teaching career began in Arunachal Pradesh at the VKV school, followed by two years at the Air Force School in Avadi, Chennai. Her dedication to education and her passion for physical and mental well-being led her to Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, where she has served for an impressive 25 years. Her dual roles as a Physical and Health Education Teacher and Psychologist have given her a unique platform to inspire and educate young minds.
Megha’s achievements extend beyond sports and education. She made waves in the pageant world by participating in the prestigious Mrs. India beauty pageant contest in Thailand in December 2022.
