Motorola Edge 40 Neo : Motorola unveiled the Edge 40 Pro in April, followed by the Edge 40 a month later. Today, the company expanded the Edge 40 collection by announcing the Motorola Edge 40 Neo.

The Edge 40 Neo is powered by the Dimensity 7030 SoC coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It has up to 256GB of storage  and runs on Android 13  with support for Moto Connect and Ready For features.

The smartphone is built around a 6.55-inch FullHD 10-bit  curved POLED display with a  refresh rate of 144Hz and a touch sensitivity of 360Hz. It has DCI-P3 coverage and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. The display also has HDR10 certification, an under-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication, and a central hole for a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

On the back, the camera island houses a flash and two cameras – a 50MP primary  OIS and a 13MP ultra-wide 120° FOV. The latter has autofocus for macro photos.Three colors—PANTONE Black Beauty, PANTONE Soothing Sea, and PANTONE Caneel Bay—are offered for the Motorola Edge 40 Neo. The back panel of the black version is acrylic, while the back covers of the other two models are  vegan leather, making them slightly thicker and heavier than the black version.

Other highlights of the Motorola Edge 40 Neo include IP68 rating, 5G support and NFC. The smartphone also features stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos, and  the whole package is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 68W charging. According to Motorola, the included 68-watt power supply can charge the 5,000 mAh cell from empty to 50 percent in 15 minutes.

Motorola also said that the Edge 40 Neo is “built to last and love,” and to reinforce the company’s commitment to a more sustainable future, the smartphone will be sold in 100% plastic-free packaging that contains soy ink and is 60% recycled materials.

The Lenovo-owned brand has also collaborated with the good company on the protective case that comes with the Edge 40 Neo, which comes in matching colours. It is completely biodegradable and made from 100%  plants. And when it’s time to change the case, agoda changes the old case into a new one so it doesn’t go to waste.

The Motorola Edge 40 Neo will go on sale in the EMEA region starting today with a starting price of 399 euros.

The phone will be launched in India on September 21 and will be sold on Motorola India’s official website Flipkart and retail stores across the country.
