Manu Bhakar finishes fourth in 25m pistol, completes hat-trick of medals at Olympics

Indian shooter Manu Bhakar played her last match at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the 25m pistol event, where she missed out on a medal. Manu Bhakar stood fourth in this event.

Manu Bhakar was one step away from a medal
A total of 10 series of shots were to be played in this event. A series had a total of five shots and after three series the elimination round began. Manu was running in second place after seven series, but after this she had some poor shots, due to which she dropped and could not make a comeback. He made a total of 28 correct shots in 8 series.

Had a strong performance in the qualification round
Manu Bhakar scored a total of 590 points in the qualification round of women’s shooting 25m pistol event and finished second. Manu Bhakar scored 294 in accuracy and 296 in speed. Manu Bhakar scored 97, 98 and 99 points in three categories of 10 each in the preseason round. After this, in quick rounds, he scored 100, 98 and 98 points in three series to make it to the finals.

Manu Bhakar won the first bronze in 10m air pistol
Indian shooter Manu Bhakar scored 221.7 points in the 10m air pistol event and won the bronze medal. Korea’s Oh Ye Jin won the gold in this event. He set an Olympic record by scoring 243.2 points. Korea’s Kim Yeji won the silver medal. He scored 241.3 points.

Also won a medal with Sarabjot Singh
Manu Bhakar along with Sarabjot Singh won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event. Both won the match by a margin of 16-10. The team of Manu and Sarabjot was against the Korean team. The Korean team went ahead in the first series, but Manu Bhakar and Sarabjot Singh staged a brilliant comeback to win the medal.
