After being released from Tihar Jail, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been quite active. On Friday, he met with the family of Arvind Kejriwal, and today, he first visited a Hanuman temple and then went to Rajghat.
Manish Sisodia began his day by visiting a temple to seek the blessings of Lord Hanuman, followed by a visit to Rajghat. Several senior leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were present with him during these visits.
At Rajghat, Sisodia paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at his memorial. He offered flowers in front of the memorial and spent a long time sitting silently with his eyes closed, showing a serious expression. Leaders like Atishi, Sanjay Singh, and Saurabh Bharadwaj, along with other party members, accompanied him and also appeared serious during the visit.
Before heading to Rajghat, Sisodia visited the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place, where he performed prayers. Sisodia had been in jail for nearly 17 months in connection with a money laundering case related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam. On Friday, the Supreme Court granted him bail.
Sisodia visited the temple along with AAP MP Sanjay Singh, Ministers Atishi, and Saurabh Bharadwaj. Hundreds of party workers were present at the temple to welcome him. As soon as he arrived, the crowd chanted “Jai Shri Ram” and “Jai Hanuman.”
Manish Sisodia expressed his gratitude, saying, “May Lord Hanuman bless the people of Delhi.” He added that Lord Hanuman had blessed him and that Arvind Kejriwal would also receive similar blessings.
Manish Sisodia is expected to address party leaders, workers, and the media at the AAP headquarters on Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg. A large number of police officers have been deployed around the office since the morning.
After being released from Tihar Jail on Friday evening, Sisodia stated that he was granted bail due to the power of the Constitution, and this same power would ensure the release of Kejriwal, who is also in jail in connection with the same case.
