On Tuesday, October 15, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a meeting to discuss the election strategy. JDU’s Jharkhand in-charge, Ashok Chaudhary, also attended the meeting. After the meeting, Ashok Chaudhary clarified to the media that talks with the BJP regarding seat-sharing are still ongoing.

When asked about the possibility of JDU getting only two seats, Ashok Chaudhary responded that the discussions are still in progress between the senior leaders of both parties. He stated that it is too early to say whether JDU will get only two seats.

JDU Claims 11 Seats in Jharkhand

Earlier, JDU’s Jharkhand state president and Rajya Sabha MP Khiru Mahto, in an interview with ABP News, mentioned that the party wants to contest 11 seats. He dismissed the idea of contesting only two seats, making it clear that JDU is not willing to settle for fewer seats. However, it remains to be seen how many seats BJP will offer.
