India’s Asia Cup squad : 

Chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar  announced the Indian cricket team squad for the upcoming Asia Cup in New Delhi. The announcement came after a selection meeting attended by captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid. The initial 15-man squad for the World Cup also exists externally. Whether the same will be announced remains to be seen. Press conference where chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar announced that the team has been sent to Star Sports. It is also broadcast by Hotstar. 

India Asia Cup squad announced: Kuldeep  ahead of Chahal – Agarkar 

Unfortunately we can only pick 17, we  considered Chahal but  now Kuldeep is looking a bit ahead. So  Chahal will be sadly missed, says Agarkar. 

India’s Asia Cup squad announced:

Rahul is named as wicketkeeper for the team .Rahul plays as a carry batsman. I want him to be ready for that from the first match. This is just a small setback. Hold and hit is his role and he is a very important player.

India’s Asia Cup Squad announcement: Tilak WC fate to be decided later 

Tilak is also part of the Indian squad for the Asian Games and will not be able to complete both the  tournaments due to match dates. Agarkar says  a decision  will be made about him later. 

India Asia Cup 2023 squad announced: WC squad to be selected from  these players ? 

This is not the official starting squad, but according to Agarkar, it is obvious that the World Cup team will be selected from among these players. .
