Jaiswal made his debut in the shortest format, replacing Ishan Kishan at the top of the batting order. The 21-year-old earned his senior India debut in early July during the first Test against West Indies in Dominica, and his T20I debut came after a solid IPL 2023 season with Rajasthan Royals (RR), where he scored 625 runs in just 14 matches. Jaiswal struck a fantastic century (171) on his Test debut and followed it up with a half-century in the second Test in Port of Spain.Jaiswal made his debut for the country at the 2020 U19 World Cup in South Africa, where he scored 400 runs from six matches with a strike rate of 133.33.This year in the IPL, he scored one century and five fifties, finishing off a breakout season.”I’m fine with chasing. Obviously, looking at the surface would have been preferable. It’s possible that everything will slow down. That’s all there is to it. Pooran has been batting exceptionally effectively. He prefers to keep things simple rather than try a variety of things. Yashasvi makes his debut, and Kuldeep replaces him.”Ishan is out,” said skipper Hardik Pandya during the toss on Tuesday. The West Indies won the toss and chose to bat first:India’s hitters, especially Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan, have struggled for consistency in the T20I series so far, which is one of the reasons why the visitors are behind the five-match series 0-2. As a result, India faces a must-win situation in the third T20I on Tuesday.India playing XI for third T20I: Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Sanju Samson (wk), Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mukesh Kumar
