India Tour To West Indies : Yashasvi Jaiswal (84 not out, 51 balls, 11 fours, three sixes) and Shubman Gill (77, 47 balls, three fours, five sixes) scored half-centuries as India defeated West Indies by nine wickets in the fourth T20 cricket match. With this, India equalised 2-2 in the five-match series. The last match will be played here on Sunday.
Won by a century partnership: On Saturday, the Windies team won the toss and scored 178 runs for eight wickets while batting first. In response, the Indian team won by scoring 179 runs for one wicket in 17 overs with the stormy century partnership of both the openers.There was also a record 165-run century partnership for the first wicket between the two.
Earlier, West Indies added 14 runs in the first over by spoiling the rhythm of Akshar Patel. Although the Windies had to lose wickets fast. Arshdeep Singh dismissed Kyle Mayers (17 runs) and Brandon King (18 runs) in the powerplay, while Kuldeep Yadav picked up the valuable wickets of Nicholas Pooran (one) and Rovman Powell (one) soon after the powerplay.
Apart from the half-century of Shimron Hetmyer (61) from the Windies, Shai Hope also scored an innings of 45 runs. Hope Chahal broke the run partnership with Hetmyer when his 49 scored 45 off 29 balls. Hetmyer hit three fours and four sixes in 39 balls. For India, Arshdeep took three wickets, Kuldeep took two wickets while Akshar, Chahal and Mukesh got one wicket each.
