India vs New Zealand : India and New Zealand will meet in match  21 of the ODI World Cup 2023 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Sunday, October 22. Team India will go into the competition with an impressive four wins from four matches. New Zealand  also won all four of their  matches. Both the teams, India (IND) and New Zealand (NZ) are the top two teams in that tournament and have shown exceptional form so far, remaining unbeaten in all their matches. 

This will be the ninth meeting between these two teams in the history of the ODI World Cup. The men in blue have won three of their last eight meetings, while the Kiwis have secured five  of eight. In the upcoming game, star  Virat Kohli will play a pivotal role for India against New Zealand and his performance during the ODI in Dharamsala  will be of prime importance. In his last match  against New Zealand in Dharamsala, Kohli played an unbeaten 81-ball 85, which included 9 fours and a six, in a six-wicket win over the Dark Horses.

In  four innings  at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, he  amassed a total of 255 runs at an impressive average of 85.00,  the highest among  batsmen in at least four innings. He also charmed one century and one half-century in Dharamsala.

In Kohli’s four innings against the Pacers in Dharamsala, he amassed 169 runs with two dismissals at an average of 42.25. On the contrary, when Kohli faced the Spinners in Dharamsala, he was very effective. In those four innings, he  never left him, scoring 93.47 from 86 runs. 

The Dharamsala pitch usually favours fast bowlers and suits Kohli’s batting style well. Kohli will have to show patience and discipline to score meaningful runs against New Zealand.
