Impact on Services
Except for medical, police, and fire services, everything will be closed from 6 AM to 8 PM. Public transportation, shops, banks, markets, factories, schools, and other services will be shut. People are advised to stock up on essentials in advance.

Supreme Court’s Decision on Reservation
Last Thursday, the Supreme Court delivered a landmark judgment on SC/ST reservations, overturning a 2004 decision. The court ruled that states can create sub-categories within SC/ST reservations and mentioned the concept of a creamy layer. Dalit organizations and political parties are protesting against this decision.
