Prasad Reaction On Hardik Pandya and Company’s Defeat : India staged a tremendous comeback after dropping the first two games by winning the next two contests to tie the series. But in the decisive game, their enthusiasm waned, and they suffered their first T20 series defeat to the West Indies since 2017.

India chose to bat first, and thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s composed 61 runs off 45 balls, they were able to score a total of 165/9 in 20 overs.

In response, West Indies won by eight wickets thanks to Brandon King (85 not out) and Nicholas Pooran (47).

Former Indian cricketer Venkatesh Prasad attacked Hardik Pandya and labelled him “clueless” after India lost the series.

India needs to develop its abilities. There is a lack of intensity and hunger, and the skipper frequently appeared to be totally lost. Batsmen cannot bowl, and bowlers cannot bat. Prasad posted on X (formerly known as Twitter): “It’s vital to not hunt for yes men and be blinded because someone is your favourite player, but look at the broader good.

“West Indies didn’t just lose in 50 overs; they also missed out on the T20 World Cup in October and November of last year. It hurts to see India do poorly and have its shortcomings swept under the rug in the name of procedure. We are living in an illusion because that hunger and passion are missing, the author continued.

Since quite some time, India has been a very very ordinary limited overs team. A West Indies team that was unable to advance to the T20 World Cup a few months ago embarrassed them. In the ODI series, Ban had also defeated us. Prasad wrote, “I hope they reflect rather than make blundering statements.

The three-match T20 series between India and Ireland would be their upcoming task.

The first of the three T20 Internationals will take place on August 18 at Malahide, Dublin, while the subsequent games will be played there on August 20 and August 23.
