As the Haryana Assembly elections approach, discussions are heating up about the BJP’s candidate list. There is speculation about who will be included and who might be dropped. In the latest update, BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli has announced that he will not be contesting the election. He also mentioned that the first list of BJP candidates will not be released today and may take a couple more days.
Badoli revealed that a meeting will soon be held to finalize the remaining seats. Additionally, he confirmed that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will be contesting from the Ladwa constituency.
BJP’s Claim for a Third Term
At the inauguration of the BJP’s election office in Rohtak, Badoli claimed that the BJP would win a third term in Haryana. He also stated that Nayab Singh Saini would become Chief Minister for the second time.
Request to Postpone Election Date
Badoli had previously requested the Election Commission to postpone the election date, which led to criticism from the Congress. The Congress accused the BJP of trying to delay the election due to a likely defeat in Haryana, claiming that the BJP is using various tactics to avoid losing.

In response, Badoli posted on X (formerly Twitter) clarifying that his letter was not about delaying the election but about encouraging higher voter turnout. He dismissed Congress’s claims, suggesting that they are simply trying to avoid facing the real issues.
