The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) have dismissed rumors about an alliance for the Haryana Assembly elections. Both parties have clarified that they are not discussing any coalition for the upcoming polls. Senior AAP leader Sandeep Pathak rejected the idea of an alliance with JJP for the October 1 elections. JJP leader Dushyant Chautala also stated that his party is ready to contest all 90 seats in Haryana.
“Fearing Jail”
Chautala criticized Congress for not fielding a candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections, claiming that Bhupinder Singh Hooda is “afraid of going to jail.” He said, “JJP will contest all 90 seats in Haryana and will open the assembly’s lock with our key. There is no alliance with AAP. Since AAP is allied with Congress, how can it be allied with JJP?”
Regarding some JJP legislators joining Congress and BJP, Chautala explained that Ramkaran Kala’s son had already joined Congress, and Ramkaran himself has now joined as well. Some legislators who supported BJP during the Lok Sabha elections have also joined the party.
Finalizing Candidate List
On the issue of finalizing candidates for the assembly elections, Chautala said that a meeting of the Political Affairs Advisory Committee will be held before September 1 to finalize the list. He added that Congress did not field a candidate for the Rajya Sabha because Hooda is afraid of jail and has a deal with BJP.
Chautala also mentioned that Congress has 30 MLAs and JJP has only three. He criticized Congress for not showing courage and accused them of colluding with BJP.
Election Preparations
The Haryana assembly elections will be held on October 1, and the results will be announced on October 4.
In addition, Dushyant Chautala visited various villages in Uchana and called on workers to prepare for the elections. He speculated that Kiren Choudhary might have joined BJP with the condition of being a Rajya Sabha candidate. Meanwhile, AAP leader Pathak said his party will soon announce its candidates for the assembly elections and emphasized that there are no talks of an alliance with JJP.
