In terms of specifications, the Pixel 8 Pro has a 6.7-inch OLED display (1344 x 2992 resolution) with a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Glass Victus 2 protection and 2400 nit peak brightness. According to DXOMARK, Pixel 8 Pro received a readability score of 162, making it the most readable product to date, especially  outdoors and in direct sunlight. It also scored 164 colour points, maintaining accurate skin tones and pleasant, vivid image reproduction in various lighting conditions.

While the Pixel 8 Pro offers impressive HDR10 reproduction, it’s not the best when viewing dark content in low light. The smartphone’s screen is also generally smooth, but there were minor frame defects and it lost  smoothness while gaming. More detailed results can be found here.

The Pixel 8 has a 6.2-inch FHD OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and 2,000 units of peak brightness. Like the Pro version, it has good readability outdoors and in direct sunlight. DXOMARK says  the Pixel 8 is slightly less bright than the iPhone 15 when viewing photos, but brighter when viewing web pages. Colour reproduction is also good on the Pixel 8, especially when it comes to skin tone reproduction. But it showed “slight pink” outside when a strong light source came from the upper corner. For videos, the Pixel 8 Pro’s brightness level was “very good” even in dim viewing environments. Like the Pixel 8 Pro, the vanilla Pixel 8  showed overall smoothness, but lacked gameplay.
