Ganapath Box Office Collection : Tiger Shroff, Amitabh Bachchan and Kriti Sanon showed a slight dip on Saturday as the film hit theatres ahead of the extended weekend. According to advance estimates tweeted by the official page Sacnilk.com, the film collected ₹ 2.25 crore on its second day. This takes the two-day total cost of the film to ₹ 4.75. The Vikas Bahl directorial opened to ₹2.5 crore in theatres on Friday but failed to show promise on its first Saturday. Tweets from the portal’s X handle suggest that the movie’s usage was around 10 percent on Saturday. The film received a negative or mixed reception from critics. A Hindustan Times review predicted a bleak future for the film. It read: “Ganapath tries to make a statement by thinking about the huge gap between the rich and the poor, but it falters so much in the execution department that it turns into another pointless dystopian story. While the story seems to come together after a while, it never gets there. a point where I would like to believe.
The pre-interval is a little calm and still manages to keep you informed of what to expect, but the second half is all back-to-back fights in the wrestling room. I’d rather pay to watch Tiger Shroff in an MMA match live. But Ganapathi doesn’t really have any magic.”
On the day of Ganapathi’s release, Tiger Shroff visited the Siddhivinayak temple to offer prayers and seek blessings. A day before the release, the film hosted a star-studded cast in Mumbai which included everyone from Asha Bhosle, Anupam Kher, Suniel Shetty, Ananya Panday, Sikander Kher, Hema Malini, Kajol, Rakul Preet Singh, Chunky Panday, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Shanaya Kapoor and many more are present.
