About 40 people have gone missing at all three places. One body has been found in Mandi. 35 people have been rescued safely here. After the cloudburst incident, all schools and educational institutions in Padhar of Mandi have been closed today. The DC has issued orders.

The Meteorological Department had also issued a ‘yellow’ alert on Wednesday for heavy rains in different places of the state from Friday. The period of heavy rains in the state is expected to continue till August 6. Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi said that 48 roads have been closed and power services have been affected due to the recent rains.

9 people missing after cloudburst in Mandi
9 people are missing and 1 body has been recovered in the cloudburst incident in Thaltukhod of Padhar in Mandi. Mandi district administration has alerted the Air Force for rescue. More services will be taken if help is needed. The administration has also requested NDRF for help. DC Apoorva Devgan and rescue team are reaching the affected areas on foot. At the same time, the local administration is also engaged in relief work. Due to broken roads and paths, there are difficulties in reaching the spot.

JP Nadda assured all possible help

Senior BJP leader Jagat Prakash Nadda spoke to Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and took information and assured all possible help from the Modi government. JP Nadda also spoke to former Chief Minister and LOP Jairam Thakur and BJP state president and directed all BJP workers to engage in relief work.

Cloud burst in Kullu on Tuesday

A foot bridge and three temporary thatched roofs have been washed away in the sudden flood caused by cloud burst in Tosh Nala of Kullu district. Kullu Deputy Commissioner Torul S Ravish said that this incident took place in the Tosh area of ​​​​Manikaran in the morning and no casualties have been reported in it.

11 people swept away due to cloud burst in Mandi

The situation has worsened due to cloud burst in Mandi of Himachal. Three houses have been damaged due to cloud burst here and 11 people have been swept away in the fast flowing water. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert in many districts of Himachal Pradesh.

Heavy rain is also happening in Uttarakhand

Continuous heavy rains have been continuing in Uttarakhand for the last 24 hours. Only water is visible from the mountain to the plain. The situation has gone from bad to worse at many places on the mountain. The water level of all the rivers of the state is continuously rising. All the flowing streams and rivulets are also in spate. Two people have died and one other is reported to be injured due to cloudburst in Ghansali of Tehri district.
