During the ongoing budget session in Parliament, political tensions remain high inside the house, with heated debates over various issues like the Mahakumbh stampede and the deportation of Indians from the U.S. However, outside the house, a different scene unfolded.
On Friday, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad and Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav, who is also Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle, were seen laughing and joking together in the Parliament premises.
What Happened Between the Leaders?
A video shared by ANI shows the two senior leaders smiling and posing for pictures. Ram Gopal Yadav joked, “He’s a nice person, but he can have people arrested.” Ravi Shankar Prasad laughed and responded, “Yes, I’ll have them arrested, and I’ll also help them get bail.” Both leaders then shared a hearty laugh and continued talking casually, asking about each other’s well-being.
Ongoing Parliament Chaos
After the budget was presented on February 1, opposition parties created an uproar in Parliament over the Mahakumbh stampede, accusing the Uttar Pradesh government of hiding the real death toll and facts about the incident.
On February 5, when 104 illegal Indian immigrants were deported from the U.S. and landed in Amritsar by a military plane, the issue added to the chaos in Parliament. Opposition parties have been questioning the government’s handling of the situation for the past two days.
