In Ludhiana, Punjab, a man and three family members are accused of brutally raping a married woman. The incident was recorded on their mobile phones. The attack was allegedly carried out as revenge because the woman’s brother had run away with the man’s daughter.
According to the police, the incident occurred on May 1. The accused, including Ravinder Singh, his brother Varinder Singh, his son Aman Singh, and another associate Santosh Singh, went to the woman’s house searching for her and her brother. When they did not find them, the accused reportedly threatened and then raped the woman in a group.
The victim was in shock for a long time and could not report the crime immediately. After recovering from the trauma, she contacted the police to file a complaint. The police have registered a case against the four accused at Tibba Road police station. The victim mentioned in her complaint that her brother and the main accused Ravinder’s daughter had gone away together in April.
The accused allegedly threatened to share the video of the assault on social media if she reported the crime. The victim, a mother of two, is now seeking justice.
