Efforts to Resolve Discontent
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is working to convince Aparna Yadav, who seems unhappy with her recent appointment. Last Tuesday, she was made Vice Chairperson of the Women’s Commission under the Yogi government, following a directive from the Governor. Reports suggest that Aparna is not satisfied with this decision.
Minister Baby Rani Maurya’s Involvement
To address Aparna’s concerns, Cabinet Minister Baby Rani Maurya, who handles the Department of Women and Child Development, has reached out to her. Maurya, who oversees the Women’s Commission, has assured Aparna that she will have full authority and independence in her role. Despite these assurances, Aparna remains reluctant to accept the position, feeling it does not align with her stature.

Aparna’s Connection with Shivpal Yadav
Sources claim that Aparna has been in touch with SP leader Shivpal Singh Yadav and is considering returning to her former party. Aparna joined the BJP in 2022 with hopes of getting a ticket for the assembly elections, but she did not receive one. She also only participated in election campaigning without getting a ticket for the municipal or Lok Sabha elections.
Aparna has stated that she does not wish to run against her family members in elections. However, she has expressed interest in a ticket for the Rae Bareli Lok Sabha constituency.
