Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam is still struggling with his form. Known as ‘King,’ Babar has been out of form for nearly two years. Even in his recent matches against Bangladesh, he failed to score runs and is facing heavy criticism.
In the two-Test series against Bangladesh, Babar scored 0, 22, 31, and 11 runs. Over these four innings, he averaged just 16 runs. He also struggled in earlier series against Australia and England.
616 Days Without a Half-Century
Babar hasn’t scored a half-century in Test cricket for 616 days. It’s been almost 20 months since he last made a fifty. His last big score was 161 runs against New Zealand in December 2022. Since then, his highest score in Test cricket has been just 41 runs. Babar is also having trouble scoring runs in other formats of the game.

Learning from Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli, once one of the world’s best batsmen, also faced a similar struggle with form. He took a break from cricket and returned with strong performances. Babar Azam could benefit from taking a similar break. Kohli revealed that he didn’t even touch a bat during his break, which helped him come back in form.
