Axiom Space Mission: Axiom Space has announced its fourth commercial human spaceflight mission. Shubhanshu Shukla will be a part of this mission from India. This was announced by the government a few days ago. Shubhanshu, (Who is Shubhanshu Shukla) is a group captain in the Indian Air Force. He will reach the International Space Station (ISS) as a part of Axiom Space’s mission. Details of the astronauts who will fly with Shubhanshu have also been revealed.

According to a report, former NASA astronaut ‘Peggy Whitson’ will be the commander of the mission. Apart from her, three international astronauts have been made part of the mission. These include Shubhanshu Shukla of India, Polish mission expert of European Space Agency (ESA) Sławosz Uznański and Hungarian mission expert Tibor Kapu. This will be the first time a Polish astronaut will go to space in 40 years.

The aim of the mission is to promote scientific research, demonstrate technology on orbital outposts and increase commercialization in space. Axiom Space says that this will be its second flight with ESA, while it will fulfill space objectives for the first time with India and Hungary.

This will be the fifth space flight of mission commander ‘Peggy Whitson’. She will go to space for the second time with Axiom Space. The launch date of the mission is not confirmed yet. It is believed that this mission can take off anytime after October.

Who is Shubhanshu Shukla?
According to media reports, Shubhanshu Shukla is a resident of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He has been a student of National Defense Academy. In the year 2006, he was appointed in the combat wing of the Air Force. He has more than 2 thousand hours of flying experience. Now he will represent India in space.
