An Air India flight headed for Sharjah makes a precautionary stop in Thiruvananthapuram.
Around 10:45 am, an Air India Express flight left Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, and made a precautionary landing in Thiruvananthapuram. According to airport sources who were reported by the news agency PTI, an Air India Express flight from Tiruchirapalli to Sharjah made a precautionary landing at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on Monday for technical reasons.
After the aeroplane departed Tiruchirappalli, in the state of Tamil Nadu, at around 10:45 am, the airport management declared a serious emergency at the International Airport.
According to a representative for Air India, the plane arrived at Thiruvananthapuram safely at around midday. The flight carried 154 passengers in all.
“On July 31, 2023, flight IX613, which was bound for Sharjah from Tiruchirapalli, landed at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport out of caution. A post-takeoff technical issue led to the decision. The spokesperson declared that this was not an emergency landing.
We apologies for the inconvenience we gave the onboard passengers. Our team is arranging replacements for their travel, he said.
