Even after forming a government in Delhi, the political fight between BJP and AAP continues. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has now targeted Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta over a viral video.
AAP leaders Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj have shared the clip on social media platform X, claiming that Rekha Gupta has insulted Home Minister Amit Shah.
What’s the Controversy?
In the video, CM Rekha Gupta can be heard telling the public that she chose not to meet Home Minister Amit Shah because she wanted to thank the people of her constituency instead.
She says,
“Now think about it and appreciate my courage. This shows how much I value you all.”
AAP has alleged that this statement is an insult to Amit Shah and proves that there is tension within BJP.
AAP Leaders’ Reactions
Saurabh Bharadwaj posted the video on X, saying:
“BJP is having its own internal Mahabharat. Now their own CM is sidelining the Home Minister and mocking him.”
Atishi also commented,
“Who says Delhi BJP’s government is controlled by the PMO or Home Ministry? First, CM Rekha Gupta refused to implement Modi’s ₹2500 scheme, and now she has insulted Amit Shah. It’s clear that Rekha Gupta is running the Delhi government on her own terms.”
BJP’s Response?
So far, neither BJP nor Amit Shah has responded to these allegations. However, the video has sparked heated debates in political circles.
