Nagpur Rape Case: A shameful incident has come to light in Nagpur, Maharashtra. A 9-year-old girl was raped in Pardi area of Nagpur around 4 pm on Sunday evening. The accused has not been identified yet.
Police said that when the unknown accused committed the rape, her 5-year-old sister was also present there and he gave her 20 rupees to keep quiet. Police said that the parents of the minors are daily wage labourers and both had gone to work at the time of this incident.
Victim narrated her ordeal
This incident came to light when the victim narrated her ordeal to her parents on returning from work. On getting the information, the parents reached Pardi police station, where the police sent the victim for medical examination. An officer said that the rape has been confirmed in the medical examination.

Based on the information received from the 5-year-old sister, the police believe that the suspect speaks Marathi and wears a tilak on his forehead. He also probably knew that the girls are alone during the day as their parents go to work and may be acquainted with the family.
The accused entered the house of the minors where they live on rent on the pretext of asking if their parents are at home, the police said.

On this matter, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MLA Aditya Thackeray has targeted the Eknath Shinde government by posting on X. He said “For Maharashtra, the illegal and shameless Chief Minister is as ignorant about administration as possible. He is busy inviting actors for his photo. He has left the state to sink into chaos. No fear of law. Home Minister is busy in dirty politics.”
