After heavy rains and landslides in Uttarakhand, the Kedarnath Yatra has been suspended for two days. There is a heavy rain alert for 48 hours in the state. Due to this, 12 teams of NDRF and 60 teams of SDRF have been deployed. So far 16 people have died in Haridwar, Dehradun, Tehri, Rudraprayag and Nainital due to rains. While in Kedarnath over 2000 people are stranded on the footpath near Lincholi and Bhimbli due to cloudburst. 5 helicopters have been deployed to rescue them.

The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain warning in 24 states on Friday (August 2). 11 districts of Madhya Pradesh are on heavy rain alert today, which will continue for the next 4 days.

Uttarakhand: 72 teams have been deployed for relief and rescue
According to Rudraprayag Disaster Management Officer NK Rajwar, the 16-km-long Kedarnath Track starting from Gaurikund has been damaged in Ghoda Padav, Lincholi, Badi Lincholi and Bhimbli. Two bridges near Rambada were also washed away last night. The state government has taken the help of the Air Force to rescue the people trapped in Kedarnath. 12 teams of NDRF, 60 teams of INS and SDRF are engaged in rescue work. The district administration has also issued two helpline numbers – 7579257572 and 01364-233387 and emergency number 112.

Cloud burst in 5 places in Himachal in one day, 48 people missing

On August 1, 53 people went missing due to cloudbursts at 5 places in Himachal Pradesh. Out of which the bodies of 5 have been recovered, while 48 people are still missing. NDRF, SDRF, Police and Home Guard personnel are conducting a search operation in search of him. Rescue teams in Shimla have not been successful yet. Of the 36 missing people here, not a single trace has been found yet. Some body parts of the person have definitely been found.

Even in Rajban village of Chauharghati, Mandi, 7 people from 3 families are still missing. 3 dead bodies have been found. 7 people including 5 members of the same family have also gone missing in Bagipul of Kullu. Out of which the bodies of 2 including a woman have been found, while 5 are still missing.
